Infiltración prostática por Leucemia/Linfoma de células T del adulto (HTLV-1+): reporte de caso

A diferencia de los frecuentes adenocarcinomas derivados del epitelio ductal, el compromiso prostático por linfoma o leucemia representa una variante inusual de neoplasia urológica. Estas afecciones pueden detectarse ante un tacto rectal anormal o un aumento del PSA sérico. El caso que se presenta es el de un hombre de 49 años, portador de HTLV-1 positivo, con síntomas del tracto urinario inferior (LUTS) y PSA persistentemente elevado, en quien se confirmó un linfoma de células T con compromiso prostático. El diagnóstico se sustentó en un perfil inmunohistoquímico intensamente positivo para CD4, CD5, CD25 y BCL2, y negativo para pancitoqueratina, CD20 y otros marcadores T/linfoides (CD7, CD8, CD10, CD30, ALK1 y EBER). Si bien excepcionales (<0,1% de las neoplasias prostáticas), los linfomas y leucemias con compromiso de próstata deben incluirse en el diagnóstico diferencial cuando el cuadro clínico o imagenológico es atípico para adenocarcinoma,
