Article Processing Charges

Submission of articles to Revista Andes is completely free for all authors. However, if a manuscript is accepted for publication, differentiated publication fees will apply and must be processed prior to the final publication of the article.

These fees are solely intended to ensure the financial sustainability of the journal and in no way represent a profit for the journal.

The differentiated publication fee is determined according to the author’s status:

  • Undergraduate or graduate students: CLP 15,000 per article.

  • Practicing professionals: CLP 50,000 per article.

During the editorial process, the corresponding author will be informed in a timely manner about the payment procedure, and a receipt will be provided as proof of the transaction.

Fees that may apply to the author include:

  • Article Processing Charges (APC): the standard fee for publishing the article in open access.

Reviewer Incentives

Revista Andes offers a reviewer incentive program, which grants a 100% waiver of the editorial fee, applicable to one submission for each review completed. This mechanism seeks to acknowledge and value the scholarly contributions of our reviewers, while at the same time promoting participation in peer review that is equitable, accessible, and accompanied by tangible benefits.

Open Access and Editorial Sustainability

Payment of these fees guarantees the publication of the article and helps maintain the quality and sustainability of Revista Andes, ensuring that all content remains openly accessible to the scientific community.
